Since 1978 so, they are doing something right! I checked out the reviews and they were accurate. It is a throwback place with PA classic brands like Tastycake, Middleswarth and Hartley's chips and cakes. I chose the "Italian Special." It's D on the menu. The sandwich smelled amazing. It was large with plenty of meat, L, T, & O. The bread was especially fresh and delicious. They have plenty of tables to eat your sub there. They have beer for takeout as well. I’ve been going to Philly Subs for decades! I grew up as a Heights native from Wilkes-Barre and it’s one of my Top 3 Hoagie Shops! Friendly counter staff with a smile and the hoagies are great! I enjoy stopping in to catch up with Amanda who loves seeing her Uncle Bobby to catch me up on her daughter’s new adventures and I enjoy visiting her too! She recommended the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak one time and I was hooked!

I ordered a cheesesteak with American cheese and fried onions. Overall it was good but a bit greasy and the meat was kind of stringy. It could use some more cheese. I’d definitely go back though.

I had a cheesesteak from here for the first time, and it was excellent! I usually get the meatball sub (which is also awesome lol). Definitely recommend them!

Wow... Way more than I expected... This place doesn't look like much but the sub was awesome. I was in the mood for a philly cheese steak and Philadelphia Subs sounded like like just the place. I ordered their steak sub and the girl at the counter suggested having it with pizza sauce. This was one of the best steak subs I have. They don't have a soda fountain so you have buy your soda in a bottle but the do have ice and cups. I really liked this place and would strongly recommend them.
