Overall the gym is pretty good. It has everything I need plus some extra amenities. But communication has been abysmal. One week after I joined they decided to up my fees by an unknown amount. They knew the fees would be increasing when I signed up and never mentioned it. They provided an email to inquire the new amount, which I tried and never received a response. I have been a frequent visitor to Villa Sports for quite a while. I was happy to see the recent remodel, hoping it would improve the facility overall. However, I have noticed that the maintenance of the hot tubs has been seriously neglected. The hot tubs are consistently nasty. I have not been able to find one that looks clean since the remodeling project finished. The water is often murky, cloudy, and sometimes even has a greenish tint, which is a big concern for hygiene. I love that this is my regular gym. I’ve yet to be bothered by any gross dudes. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean overall. Everyone at the gym feels respectful, kind, and cleans up after themselves. The classes are fun and challenging.
I wanted to take a minute to recognize Wyatt for being an outstanding part of this gym. From day one he has been friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in helping members have the best experience possible. Not sure exactly what's going on with this place, I don't know if it's the winter weather that's got it so overcrowded. Nobody understands Gym etiquette here. Make sure you add at least 15 minutes to your workout, you need this extra time because you have to re-rack other people's weights. I watched a 50 to 60-year-old woman try to put up couple hundred pounds of weights off of a machine, Left by some guy that was never taught to put his own stuff away.
